  SHENYANG -Men’s eight team coach Sun Shuguang (CHN) had a riverside interview after finishing thirdin the heat of the U19men's eighthere on Friday morning, the opening dayof the Asian Rowing U19 and U23 Championships along the Hunriver.

  On today’s performance:

  Ourperformance today was quite stable, and wefelt a little special competingat home.

  On the championships:

  Participating in the Asian Youth Championships will surely boost our team’s confidence and provide valuable experience for future growth. It will greatly improve our performance and vision by competing against the best teams in Asia.

  On team preparation:

  I'm the coach of the Shenyang Rowing Team and it’s an honor that our local team is selected to represent China in the coxed eight event. And there are players from other provinces of Hubei, Hunan, Hebei and Shandong who are also representing China to compete in other events.
